Just a short update.
So much for the goals from last post. I didnt stick the plan of only playing $2.5s. Loaded up 2x $3r180s and struck a decent deal HU in one:
Chip stacks Villan - 551K rchpro - 349K
1st was for $563 and 2nd $375
Chopped for $425
Chopping is gay but thought it was a really good deal.
Going to start with 2 x $8/180s and 1 x $3r180 per 9 table session then once I reach $1K bankroll I will probally play 4x$8 2x 3r180s and 3x$2.5.
Bankroll: $760

Slowly progressing.
Since my last blog entry (14th of July) Ive played 304 $2.5/180s and my net profits are -$2.40. Now Ive only just realised this, but I'm not disappointed because I was on a downswing for the first 200 games and instead of losing motivation and therefore playing less games I just played through the variance. I didn't even notice that Ive been 'breakeven' for the past month.
One aspect that concerns me a little about is my Heads up play. Since I started back Ive played 443 games. Out of that Ive had 49 cashes (five 3rd place, eight 2nd place and three 1st place). So that's eight times I could of had an extra $38 profit, $304 in total. I can remember a few HU hands were just beats that I could do nothing about. This hand from the other day it was basically the first few hands HU. Do I need to be more patient ?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, 2.5 Tournament, 3500/7000 Blinds 700 Ante (2 handed)
SB (t157930)
rchpro (BB) (t112070)
rchpro's M: 9.42
Preflop: rchpro is BB with A, 2
SB bets t157230 (All-In), rchpro calls t104370 (All-In)
Flop: (t224140) 3, 10, 6 (2 players, 2 all-in)
Turn: (t224140) K (2 players, 2 all-in)
River: (t224140) 2 (2 players, 2 all-in)
Total pot: t224140
Results:
SB had 6, 6 (three of a kind, sixes).
rchpro had A, 2 (one pair, twos).
Outcome: SB won t224140
Going to review all eight 2nd place finishes and see where I can improve. I'm still doing well at them since I started back running at 25 ROI% which I would like to see double.
Goals until next update:
bankroll: $400
oh and Robert Van Persie :D

Heater + Baby news
Been on a nice little heater since I started back at the $2.5/180s on the 8th of July. Its a welcome change and lets hope it continues
I actually have my brother in law to thank, hes just started playing poker and has been asking me about it. Ive been trying to teach him to become profitable and though that I got my motivation back. I want to get back to when I had a $3k roll and playing the $8s $15s etc. My bankroll is sitting at $400 and I'm just going to play the $2.5s until I reach $800 then start to mix in the $3.5rs and the $8s If they go well then at $1500 I will start to mix in the $15s.
Profit so far:

past year
Just been trying to get to the bottom of my lack of success at the 2.5/180s. I know that Ive been in a few awful swings but I didnt think there was much I could do other than up my volume and try to play through the varience. Im down to my last $100 so once that goes im not redepositing. Im not going to deposit all the cash Ive won back into poker whats the point. Oh and the irony is that the car I bought last march that I cleared out my bankroll for a deposit, im getting rid. Currently in £2100 of negative equity with it but mrs want rid and I can see why.
anyways my awful past 12months graph at the 2/180s

update...
Sorry for abandoning this blog whoever reads it... For the past few months since my last entry I have hardly played any poker. The motivation wasnt there and felt when I did play I couldnt wait for my session to end and would often tilt out of a few games just because I couldnt be arsed.
Now over the past week Ive slowly managed to get some motivation back for the 180s and I redeposited $157 to grind the $2.5/180s. So far my roll is at $236 after 70 games.
Going to try and get into some theory and learn more about the mathmatics of poker and watch a few vids.
will update more often :)

Jared Tandler rtr coup!
Well thanks to Yorkshire pud whos blog can be found here, Mr Jared Tandler author of thementalgameofpoker has agreed to do a Q&A session over at Raisetheriver, So sign up and become apart of the UK's No.1 poker forum.
Anyways since my last post Ive done nothing other than lose $$$ playing mtts again not doing well in anything else either. Think It all stems from the loss of motivation to play the $2.5/180s.
Ive decided I need to learn more about poker and Im not going to do that being stuck att mttsngs all my life. So im going back to cash starting at 10nl with $400 and get back into playing post flop.
