....To start playing on party poker again. It has been a huge success. Its just so easier to stack people, maybe I'm on a heater but my game feels alot more solid here. This instead of spending 15mins trying to find a fishy table at ipoker. Swear the players are way nitter there. Well here's my graph since the move.
Ive also tried to up my volume and play more tables, which is easier at party because of the amount of fishy tables to choose from. Ive been starting with 2 tables then progressing to 4 after Ive got a feel for the 1st two.
I need to be thinking about 25nl soon too, I was thinking of waiting till Ive got $1k but I'm going to take a shot when at $750 which hopefully isn't far away.
I'm off camping over the bankhols so no poker for me till late Monday night. Will be nice to have a change anyway. going to the lake district with the gf and a few friends should be fun.
take care

Live donkfests!
I decided to go and play a £10 rebuy down at the local casino. It was my 1st time playing live so It was a wierd feeling. The action was fisher than I ever thought. The game started 30mins late and around 80 entrants. I had limited myself to 2 buyins and a addon after the rebuy period(90mins), everyone else seemed to have different expectations. People just going all in with nothing, big family pots so many gamblers. I did expect that people would be loose, but everyone on my table had at least 5-6 buyins each.
I Played well during the rebuy period. Used my 2 rebuys, 1st one I floped a flush with JsQs and moved all in and a guy called me with As6h he hit the nut flush on the turn. 2nd buyin I lost a race with AK v 77 and A 10. Then I really lucked out. it was nearing the end of the rebuy period and I had A9s utg and I pushed had two callers, AQ and QK. The flop was Q 7 4 Thought that was my game over but the turn produced a 9 and so did the river. A great triple up and with my addon I was just about average stack (4500). There was a 20 minute break and about 70 people left.
So I had ordered a steak baguette(eating was allowed at the tables) and sat back down to start the 2nd phase of the torney. 1st hand I had AQ guy to my left was deep (10000)and had been quite loose, seemed a bad player that had just been lucky. The blinds were 100/200 and I raised to 4bb he reraised to 14bb and I had a long think and 4bet shoved. he turned over JJ and I lost the race. good job my steak baguette hadnt come yet!!
reflecting on the hand now I know it should of been a fold, risking all my hard work on a flip at best? what did I expect him to have? AJ A10 any pp? Think im going to wait till my bankroll is bigger before returning to play these again. Or stick to the non rebuy torney's.
Back to online Ive been running real well, this coinsides with me re-depositing at partypoker to play 10nl there. I decided to play there because its easier to table select and the players are so more donkish than at euro sites, Ipoker etc. Ive been up and down alot loosing to some real bad beats but ive just taken them into my stride and come good in the end. See at ipoker Ive been getting my cash in good and getting sucked out on, but not recovering and starting to tilt. Only problem is Ive no deal at party, rakeback/vip which is wank.
Check this hand out :P
even better I got paid off too!

Dealing with Tilt
I'm really working on playing past tilt, Ive noticed that at the beginning of a session If I drop say 30bb on one table I start to tilt alittle. This has been due to 3-betting light when I have no reads on the player, then cbetting and getting reraised. So Ive tightened my 3-bet range way up to 1010+ AQ+. Obviously this will change once I have a proper feel and read for the table and its fish. I'm also going to try and improve my post flop game. Another improvement I going to make is to give up after the fish calls my cbet and QUIT BLUFFING. I'm bluffing way to much for 10nl that's why my money won with showdown is much lower than without showdown, and its a shows. The difference from my 15k hands in pt2 to this database is massive, I dont know why Ive started to bluff more buts its a obvious leak that needs plugging
I get distracted far too easy, say if I'm 2 tabling I'll raise a hand, wait, check msn, check 2+2 and not focus on how long is the player taking to decide. Does he insta call/check Or take ages etc?. I don't do this all the time but occasionally and I feel that its costing me a few bbs now and again. I had a session last night where there was a laggy fish on my right who had been steeling a quite a few unraised pots with small bets. I was BB and he had completed his SB to me, I had J3s and the flop was 53Qr. He checked and so did I the Turn was a 6 and he bet out 2bb. I called and the river was a 2 he insta bet 6bb which seemed abit of a strange line + his 2bb turn raised screamed a steel so I called and won a 18bb pot, If I had not been taking much notice of the villain here I would of folded to his turn raise. Its not a big pot but its the read I was happy about. This hand set me up for a great sesson where I won 150bbs playing solid poker.
Going off my last post, Ive lost a few buyins and won a few kind of a up and down week or so. And im just above breaking even over a 9k stretch, I know I can turn a better profit so It doesn't bother me that much. According to my all in ev graph I should be 300bb up.
So many ups and downs!
bankroll = £320/$488
oh and btw comments would be nice :)

shit week
Well im going to break a trend of posting new entries only when im running/playing well, I Have really been playing shocking lately especially in my cash game. ive been tilting too easy, not letting toppair type hands go, not thinking about stack sizes when raising. these leaks have slowly crept into my game. Another Thing is my cash game confidance, Ive started doubting wether I can consistently make money.
Going back to wednsday I was at the highest profit id made from cash tabs since I moved to from the old whill crypto site. 6k hands and £ 60 up which doesnt seem that great considering how much i'd made before the move (£260 15k hands) Then wed night and all thursday I lost £35 at cash and £20 in sngs at stars! Probally doesnt seem that much to some people and I dont think I would be too bothered if it was all purly down to bad beats etc.
take for example

So Looking at that I cant belive Ive play it this way. I dont mind calling to his rr. but when he checks the flop I decide to steel fair enough(He was quite passive), My flop raise was to small for a starter looks weak already. he calls my raise. Then because he called my raise on the flop I go into passive mode and check the turn. So checking the turn, can I really raise the river on a complete bluff after checking the turn like that bearing in mind I only called his 3bet pf. If anything I should of potted the turn, or even jammed. Seeing he had QQs tilted me like a mofo. Who knows maybe he couldnt fold the ladies to one overcard anyway.
Theres a few other hands ive butcherd also but dont want to bore people with them!
anyway from a highpoint of £415/$618 since my last post my bankroll now stands at £330/$491
going to go and review my 6k hands and see if I can plug any leaks byee.
