At willhill!, Well my £1.85 that I turned into £6 is now £35, was scouting for tables at .005/.10 and found a real fishy one over 60% ppf. quickly made the £6 into £15. Left the table as the action was drying up and couldn't find another decent table at that level. Thought fuck it will try 0.10/0.20, there was also a really fishy table (well more than one) and sat down. To my right were 2 fish running at 83/35/2 24hands and 65/30/1 45 hands. great position. over the next 30mins I got to £35, through probaly alittle luck and great play :D.
I swear my only problem on cash tables is when I get bored and start doing silly raises.
Not been so good on the party poker front. lost a few sng's and decided to play some cash tables. $0.10/0.25 and lost a buyin. The buying I lost was silly really. I had been playing quite a tight game and there was this other guy also playing tight EP, Looser LP. I tried to beat him at it which sounds strange, but basically he limped UTG, I was on the button with Q10s and raised he called flop was 9AA, I checked, he checked turn was a 10. I raised, he called etc. River the same. and he had A5. Kinda put me on tilt and lost the rest the next few hands after.
In the above hand I tried to but the villain on K9s or 10,9s obviously I was wrong think its a skill I need to brush up on.
anyways going to watch Fringe which I downloaded earler, great show! kinda remindes me of the xfiles but less geeky.

Bankroll update
Ive been playing around with $6 10man sngs since the weekend, Its weird now I have over $200 in my party account I feel more reluctant to play $0.10/0.25 cash table. Maybe I need to get over that mind set?
Also been looting my other poker accounts to see what rags I have in them. Had £1.83 in my will hill account and that's currently upto £6 playing £0.03/0.06
Have also noticed I have over 4000 action points in my VC account and had a look at the action point tourneys, there is quite a few with buy in 100 points with the prize pool being $50 might be worth a few.
bankroll:
PP = £140 Willhill = £6

something about saturdays
Well the the 2nd consecutive sat Ive played poker while my girlfriend is at work, on her laptop.
Not using PT and the hud and made a decent profit.
Played for about 90mins and made $50 relatively easy, just playing abc poker. I think I try to be too fancy and think about it too much, while I have the huds loaded.
On a bad note the money I put into poker stars is almost at $0. was playing 3x $5.50 45man sngs and tilted on them all lost a few pots and just thought fuck it. I can see why bankroll management is so important now. I shouldnt be playing $.5.50 sng's with a $20 bankroll at stars. Made the money on a few games there, came 15/180man 4/27man but just lost the doe again. I am going to study strategy more on the MTT's before investing more of my bankroll there.
Am going for a Chinese tonight at a posh/expensive restaurant for my 21 1st birthday with my gf, a present from her mum and dad. cant wait, shirt and shoes jobby. Chinese food is so fucking nice,
anyway enough about that think I will do some sort of review about my poker situation on Monday till then bye.
Edit-
16:40 just had another good session so the total today = $72
bankroll:
Partypoker = £138 (all the others under £2) Total = £138-142

concentration and man utd
shifted abit of my bankroll about, decided to deposit into my pokerstars account well that's after I had found my passport, what a load of shit that is felt like I was signing my life away. I am going to use my Pokerstars account just for SNG's Mainly the $4.40 180 man. Just finished playing now and did quite well was 2nd out of 26 at one point with over 20000 chips, I was playing with one eye on poker and the other on the utd match on tv. which is where the concentration thing comes in,
I was alerted to the sound of beeping which took my attention off the telly, my hole cards were 83o in the BB and i didnt notice that UTG, UTG+1 AND MP1 had called the BB The SB had completed the BB. The flop came 263 in my eyes I thought it was just Me and the SB in the pot, it looked like he had it on auto check, I decided to steel and raised all in. and there u go UTG had AA :P I finished 15th and made $8.64. I shall take one down!!
I should also take note never to make any decisions without looking at the table and who's involved 1st!
Bank roll:
Party= £82 Pokerstars £20 total £102

What a cunt
Well as the title says! I had like $47 in my cardoza account a few weeks ago and have just dwindled it down to $0, Playing $3 50man sngs and playing silly limits at cash tables. Take last night for example I had about $23 remaining and instead of playing low limit cash tables and building up my roll I entered 2 $11 30man sng. Now I believe I can win these games but my bankroll cant support me when I loose.
1st sng finished one away from the cash. Played quite well . The 2nd game I started off solid and was was chip leader with 12 players left. So I decided to get involved in a pot for most of my stack with A9 off suit in early pos, I Missed the flop and maybe should of checked but I bet out with the intention to fold if re raised, the fish just called and proceeded to do so till the river and it cost me a lot when he won with TPLK (k4)
I made the final table with around 3000 chips and the blinds were 300/600 ended up pushing with J10s on the button and lost to pocket 3's
Bankroll:

Great session!
Last night I played about 250 hands at Will hill £.05/.10 was up about £30 at one point and lost most of it to gutshot rivered straight (cracked my AA).
Tonight I also had a go at will hill playing the same limit and was quickly down a buy in (£10) don't know if I hadn't settled to play or I was just playing shit. Went to re buy and I couldn't due to a technical glitch (thank god!).
I fucked willhill off and opened party poker and started a $0.15/0.25 table and proceeded to have one of the best sessions yet! sat down with $20 and finished on $80. Could of been more was up to $96 at one point.
UTG: $34.23
MP: $33.26
CO: $26.38
BTN: $20.11
Hero (SB): $31.80
BB: $23.46
Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is SB with Jh Qs
1 fold, MP raises to $0.50, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.40, BB raises to $0.75, MP calls $0.25, Hero calls $0.25
Flop: ($2.25) Ks Qc Js (3 players)
Hero bets $1.07, BB raises to $5.35, MP calls $5.35, Hero raises to $31.05 all in, BB calls $17.36 all in, MP folds
Turn: ($53.02) Qd (2 players - 2 are all in)
River: ($53.02) 9c (2 players - 2 are all in)

BB shows 6s As (a pair of Queens)

BB was min raising alot and most of the time it was with Arag so I presumed he had A3 or around that range. Both Villains where loose fishy type. I decided to get all my cash in while one of them still had chance to fold and it worked out! and the BB had A6s :P fish!

Sngs + MTT's
Well with the little profit I made last night playing Three Sngs I thought i would play alot more tonight. Kinda wishing I didnt now. Played about 10 and not made the cash once. Kinda tilted abit finishing a place away from the cash at a $5.50 20man from a bad beat. lost about $30 in total. Think I need to study what game I am more suited too.
It seems I can easly build a bankroll from a once off deposit but cant maintain it or progress it. Think I am going to stick to the cash tables.
Will hill = £30 PP= £30 Cardoza = £17 Total = £77

Multi tabling
was playing one table of $0.15/0.25 and ended $55 up with in an hour at around 8pm. I quit and decided to watch 24. After that had finished I thought i would try multi tabling for a bit to see how i progressed. Kinda did a mix and match of 4 tables.
Three at will hill, two at £.0.05/0.10 and one at 0.03/0.06. and one fishy table on party poker $0.15/0.25 after about 420 hands of poker i ended up about $6 up. That was due to some nice cards @ party.
Felt as if my mindset had changed after I had watch 24 (damn Jack Bauer!) so from being $55 up from the beginning of the night I had lost $49 multi tabling. I think this was down to me constantly totting up my profit throughout the four tables and trying to hard to make up losses.
Think I might stick to two at the moment, just thank god I used money I'd already won or my
bankroll would of been down quite abit.
Decided to play some sngs on Cardoza played Three. came 1st 3rd 5th for a grand total of $11
profit.

Good weekend!
Just had my gf over for the weekend (live apart Sheffield to Durham)which obviously means no poker while shes here doesn't condone it. Well until I'm buying her stuff with my winnings i guess. Been with her for over 3 years now and will soon be living together.
Just got back in time from taking her to the train station to see man utd score the 3rd against the Chavski scum! Now the rest of Sunday is for poker! Am going to join a RTR forum game tonight at 8.30 http://raisetheriver.com/. which was kindly recommended to me by Amatay.
Anyway this is just going to be short and sweet and shall probably post later tonight hopefully in profit!
Edit 8pm
Well the Tourney is being played on Cardoza which is with Ipoker network just deposited $25 there and the Tourney is $5.50 buy in.
Just been playing some $0.10/0.20 and have made $15 which is a nice start. The tables seem pretty fishy. Got paid off from a massive donk who was slow playing pocket 9's (low flop) and I hit with a overcard on the river, also had the flush draw post flop and just semi bluffed to the river.
Well the tourney starts in 15mins wish me luck!
Well didn't do to bad I suppose lasted nearly an hour came 14th out 22. I had around 4800 chips at one point and maybe i should of played abit tighter after that, but lost a few position raises to silly cbets. Then around 2500chips lost pocket 10's v AK, all in preflop. Was happy with the race coin flip really. ah well next time.

Bankroll and a decent week so far
Just got back from work thought i would post before hitting will hill for a bit. Ive decided to start my bankroll again as of this year. Normally I would just deposit win, withdraw, as mentioned briefly in yesterdays post.
On Monday 5th of Jan I deposited £5 into my William Hill account. Fired up PT and scouted for fishy/loose players sat down at the tables. This only going off my own recorded data, cant data mine will hill which is unfortunate. Couldn't find anybody so just sat down at the highest Players/flop and pot sized £.05/.10.
I always try to play tight for at least 20hands just to observe and such. There was a guy to my 2 places right running at 46/10/.6
BTN: £4.55
SB: £10.10
BB: £11.01
UTG: £11.07
MP: £15.80
Hero (CO): £6.80
Pre Flop: (£0.15) Hero is CO with 3h 3s
1 fold, MP raises to £0.40, Hero calls £0.40, 2 folds, BB calls £0.30
Flop: (£1.25) 3d Qh 8d (3 players)
BB checks, MP checks, Hero bets £0.60, BB calls £0.60, MP folds
Turn: (£2.45) 9d (2 players)
BB bets £1, Hero calls £1
River: (£4.45) 4s (2 players)
BB bets £2.30, Hero raises to £4.75 all in, BB calls £2.45
Final Pot: £13.95
BB shows Qs Jd (A Pair of Queens, Jack high)
Hero shows 3h 3s (Three of a kind, Threes, Queen high)
Hero wins £13.30
(Rake: £0.65)
I decided to call with it being 3way and was a nice double up.
There were a few other smallish pots where I had TPTK and just was value betting against the fishes. so ended up £11 up.
On Tuesday I had just an hour and managed to do 62hands which is awful volume, I still ended the session with £22 profit. Wednesday was a different story in terms to volume but not to profit. I ran so well at the tables think some of it was down to my good play too. At the end of the day I had made £55 Playing over 270+ hands. Here are a few key hands:
UTG: £16.32
Hero (MP): £6.91
CO: £9.22
BTN: £13.80

anyway would love to add more hands but this post is dragging on a bit.
Would appreciate comments on how to improve layout and wording etc.
Thanks Rich.

History and Stats
Hi,
Well I'll start off with how my game progressed throughout 2008. I started playing poker seriously back in summer of 07. I had always been interested in playing but not so interested in using my own cash :P
I decided enough was enough and started to deposit into various clients. I spent a good year all over the place, up and down just breaking even. This was because I hadn't studied the game enough.
Anybody who's reading this blog and is in the same sort of situation as I was back then, playing without much knowledge I cant state how important it is to read about table position, pot odds and bankroll management plus lots of other stuff. http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/ is a good place to start.
So at this moment I am currently playing at Will hill and Party Poker on the £0.05/0.10 and $0.15/0.25 tables respectively. I bought Poker tracker 3 about a month ago cant tell you how useful its been reviewing my game and other peoples. I'm actually using PT2 (get it free with PT3) because PT3 doesn't support Willhill (crypto) yet.
My stats in PT2 are quite good reading, and I can see where Ive been going wrong. Over the past 7000 hands I am 33/15/1.4 which looks horrible and over a long time i would probably be losing, but I am about $270 to the good according to PT. Now due to bad bankroll management I didn't really build much, I just kept winning £40 £20 £60 etc and depositing it back to my bank. I never kept any inside Poker. Since I started analysing my game my stats are down to 29/20/2.7 but that is only with about 2000 hands, hardly nothing.
Anyways its late so I'll post more about how Ive been running this week on the tables tomorrow.
